ISO certificate 9001:2015 (Quality)

The claim to highest quality is one of Berndorf Bäderbau’s fundamental philosophies. With the help of the ISO 9001 QM certification, our processes and structures are continuously tested and optimised. The declared objective is to provide our customers and partners with the best in all areas and to always strive for improvement and optimisation.

ISO certificate 14001:2015 (Environmental Management)

Certification in accordance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard allows us to continuously improve our environmental performance and make a valuable contribution to the conservation of natural resources.

Energy efficiency

Especially in our production area, we've used modernisation and expansions to take meaningful action:

Berndorf Bäderbau gets its heating energy and compressed air for the production area from the central facilities of Berndorf AG (upgraded to the state of the art between 2004 and 2006).

Energy-saving machines

The production buildings of Berndorf Bäderbau underwent comprehensive thermal renovation in 2010 (the foundations, walls, windows, skylights and the roof were renovated).

These measures allow us to achieve savings of 530,000 kWh per year, reducing heating costs by 80%, saving 380 tonnes of CO₂ every year and reaching a U value of just 0.1 W/m² K thanks to the roof renovation.

Resource efficiency

We're continually optimising our material efficiency to support environmentally responsible handling of resources.

Packaging/ waste recycling: Our stainless steel pool elements are packaged and delivered to construction sites on the reusable wooden pallets used to deliver the raw material. That keeps the amount of packaging material in circulation low. Packaging and waste are seperated by material and taken to the regional recycling systems.

Stainless steel is long-lasting, nearly indestructible, emits no hazardous substance and can be 100% recycled. We take advantage of that with our scrap.

Waste water in production facilities: Our production machines work without producing waste water. All waste water is treated in our factory and released into the sewer. The sludge is handled by an authorised disposal service.

Research and development

With R&D, Berndorf Bäderbau supports new products and processes to ensure that they are always being optimised and innovated. Our focus is on cost reduction and raw material efficiency.
